Science in a Van

One week before science week we had science in a van come and visit our school. They talked about the periodic table and all of the elements. They also talked about how to balance objects and we found the center of balance in a meter ruler. Riley tried to balance a mop in the air but it dropped. They had 6 volunteers create heat by dancing.

 

Religious Education Triangle

During R.E we made triangles with the holy spirit, Faith, Hope and Love. I really enjoyed making this it was fun.

This is my hot air balloon that we created to show that our goals are going to take up to new heights.

Sun Smart

During writing room 6 has been making pamphlets about being sun smart. This is mine. 

 sun smart is about learning a set of skills to help protect your self from harmful UV rays that damage our skin and eyes.

slip on a shirt ( one that has sleeves )   slop on some sun screen (SPF 30 + is best) slap on a hat ( with wide brims ) wrap on some sun glasses ( ones that are big enough to cover all of your eyes ) slide into some shade.

Each student in room 6 has made a bunting triangle to show our growth mindset goal and motto that we want to work on through out the year. Come check them out !

Jesus Strand-Religious Education

During term 1 we have been learning about Jesus the son of God this is my cube on how Jesus loves us like his children we are blessed with the gifts of faith hope and love

Saint Joseph's Day Tabloids Sports

Tuesday 19th March was St Joseph’s Day Feast Day. The whole school attended mass to celebrate the leadership Saint Joseph showed. Saint Joseph is also special to our school because Saint MacKillop and the Sisters of St Joseph were inspired by Saint Joseph. Saint Joseph is also the foster father of Jesus. The following day, the whole school came together to celebrate with fun tabloid sports in our houses. We all got to play so many fun and exciting games. Thank you to our leaders who prepared this.
