perspective drawing

In reading we drew a drawing with perspective because we red a story called back to the drawing board. I drew a rai1 road with houses next to it that was a fail. Then I the street and it was a lot better. In the activity I learnt how to draw in perspective.

Bike Safety

Today Room 5 did a bike safety course. We learnt how to do the 4 point check. The first thing that you check is the brakes. You press the back brake and lift up the bike without moving your hands off the handle bar then you do the same with the front brake. Be careful if the bike swings back at you it really hurts!!!
The second is the tire pressure. Press the tires with the palm of your hand and if it is flat fill it up. The third check is the rear red reflector. The last but not least is the bolts or the quick release on your wheels.   

Kia Kaha "stay strong"

This week I made a shield for kia kaha. It had things that our class is special because... one of mine is we all have good friends. I am unique because I have great ideas. I really enjoyed making this shield.

Today we all pulled a name out of a hat and wrote each other notes with 5 nice words to describe the person. I got Nathaniel and Otis T got me. Otis said some really nice words. His letter meant quite a lot to me. I think that this was really cool to do on the second to last day of school because it cheers people up if they are upset.

Code Club

Today in Code Club we have made ransom note. Showing the amount of money that we need to get an animal or a thing. This is my one.

Movie night

At school we had a movie night. I went with my friend Matthew. We watched Despicable Me 3 we ate lollies and popcorn. It was really fun. My favorite part of the movie was when the Minions escaped from the prison then Gru came past in the rocket and the Minions followed them. I like this part because it shows how creative the Minions are creating the plain/hot air balloon. 

game

Today in code club we played other peoples games. I think that Elijah there was a lot of coding. with my game it didn't take much code. I learnt about making objects move I hope that we can do code club next term.
